The Moru Kopjes, perched between the territories of Ndutu and Seronera, contain arguably the most breathtaking scenery that the Serengeti has to offer. Surreal rock formations protrude out from the plains and provide big cats with the perfect viewpoint to overlook their territories. Here, you will find Dunia Camp, which is perfectly situated, allowing access to some of the best game viewing areas available in the Serengeti.
Dunia Camp is a permanent tented camp in the south central Serengeti, entirely operated and staffed by women. Serengeti’s game viewing can be experienced all year round here, however the best time to visit is between early April to early July to make the most of the Great Migration.
The camp retains all of the charm of a mobile camp, with evenings spent around the campfire with other guests before and after dinner. However, it is a more permanent camp, with tents set on elevated wooden platforms to enjoy lovely views over the savannah and acacia woodland, particularly from the verandah to the front of each tent. To the back of each tent is an ensuite bathroom with flush loo, bucket shower and running water at the double basins. Arguably Dunia has an ideal balance between a mobile camp's atmosphere and the creature comforts of a permanent camp.
