If you’re looking for the best trekking conditions to see mountain gorillas and chimpanzees visit during Uganda’s two dry seasons: December to February and June to August. While game viewing is great during this time, September and October is best for spotting large herds along rivers and at waterholes while vegetation is low. While bird watching is possible throughout the year migratory birds can be seen from November to February.
