Nestled amidst magnificent native forests and valleys, Treetops Lodge & Estate offers a uniquely New Zealand experience. The Lodge's elegant architectural style is derived from this country’s pioneering past and timber and stone finishes echo the beauty and simplicity of the great outdoors and the vast, private wonderland in which the lodge is so exclusively located.
Treetop Lodge's communal areas are welcoming and comfortable, enjoy breakfast in the light sunny conservatory or delve into a book in front of the fire in the magnificent Great Room or cozy wood panelled library. The lodge has been designed as a warm, shared space and guests can chose to take a section of it with friends and family, with their own exclusive kitchen and living areas, or alternatively it is the perfect place to meet other travelers over an evening drink or dinner and share experiences.
Cuisine at Treetops is very central to your stay and not only are the finest dishes and accompanying wines served, but the lodge also offers a private 'wild food cooking experience' which includes a 4WD excursion deep into the bush to discover the magnificent wildlife population or birds, mammals and fish. A one hour stroll follows to collect indigenous herbs and spices and on return to the lodge's kitchen you learn the art of indigenous dishes with the lodge's Maori chefs.
All suites, whether within the lodge building or in one of the more private villas are the ultimate in warmth and comfort, with no expense spared to satisfy your senses. A visual splendour spreads before you with luxurious fabrics and furnishings and each room has its own unique character, individual style and design with a beckoning, bubbling spa bath.
Rotorua is New Zealand’s own adventure playground and Treetops is ideally placed within easy reach of this geothermal wonderland, spectacular Lake District and the Bay of Plenty. Treetops offers a 'sophisticated safari’ with an unparalleled range of activities and exhilarating experiences from thrill seeking adventures to relaxed waterfall walks. Trout fishing, horse riding, hiking, mountain biking and eco safaris are just a few of the activities available and for children additional adventures and activities have been devised to excite, educate and enthral.
