Outside the cities lies the prodigious Liwa desert for visitors to discover and where stargazing comes into its own. Here, in complete contrast to the cities and their diverse residents, you are likely to stumble upon Bedouins, camels – their trusty steeds, and miles of rolling sand dunes.
