Listed on America’s National Register of Historic Places, Lake Quinault Lodge was designed and built by Robert Reamer in 1926, to sit seamlessly in its woodland setting. This rustic and charming lodge is on the southern shore of beautiful Lake Quinault and stands among ancient Stika spruce, Douglas fir and red cedar trees. It is ideally located for those wishing to explore Olympic National Park and has welcomed guests from all over the world for nearly 100 years, including Franklin D Roosevelt.
There is a huge main lobby area, with a wonderful fireplace and plenty of comfortable seating. The firelight and leather sofas, along with the wooden floors, panelling, and ceiling, create a warm and intimate vibe. If the weather is warm, the deck and gardens overlooking the lake and beach are also the ideal spot for relaxation.
There are 91 traditionally styled and comfortable rooms and one suite, spread across the main lodge, a renovated boathouse, and a lakeside building. All accommodation includes ensuite bathroom with eco-friendly bath products and coffee makers. The Main Lodge and Boathouse Rooms offer a choice of lake view. Trade up to a Fireplace Room to enjoy your own gas fire and private patio or balcony with glorious lake views. Alternatively, Lakeside Rooms which have partial lake views have the added benefits of a sofa bed and satellite TV.
Guests can also book the two-bedroom Beverly Suite which occupies the top floor of the Boathouse. There are fabulous lake views, a living room with sofa bed, kitchenette and bathroom and the suite sleeps up to six.
Guests can dine in the Roosevelt Dining Room, where seafood, pasta and decadent deserts are all on the menu or relax with a drink in the lounge bar. There is also an indoor heated pool, sauna, games room and two Electric Vehicle charging stations. This is the perfect location for a digital detox, with just 30-minutes free Wi-Fi a day. For those needing to stay connected, upgraded packages are available. Guests can also rent a boat, canoe or kayak to enjoy the lake or take to the forest trails for superb hiking opportunities.
