Exploring Arches and Canyonlands National Parks
Discover the natural beauty of Arches and Canyonlands National Parks as you spend the day touring remote backcountry and getting up close to unusual geological formations with your private naturalist driver/guide.
Your tour begins high atop the Island in the Sky mesa and descends via the steep switchbacks of the Shafer Trail. This trail offers incredible views of the Colorado River and surrounding natural beauty. The ancient culture of the Ancestral Puebloeans left evidence of their lives in the canyons, providing modern-day visitors to stop and marvel at their mysterious and beautiful rock art before entering Arches National Park. Enjoy iconic landforms and arches as you make your way to the Devils Garden for a deli-style lunch.
After lunch, start the backcountry Arches 4x4 tour. The trail climbs a steep but short rock wall, cuts across a valley and meanders through sandstone fins and dunes. En route, pass the Marching Men, Tower Arch, and the Eye of the Whale. Exit via an old cowboy trail and see Dinosaur tracks on your way back to Moab!
