Zion has a desert climate moderated by altitude, with cool to cold winters and warm to hot summers, and plenty of sunshine year-round. Spring and fall enjoy mild days and cool nights whilst the summer months from June to August provide hot days and pleasant evenings. Winter is marked by crisp days and cold evenings, with the occasional light snow fall.

Moab again has a desert climate with cool to cold winters and warm to hot summers, and plenty of sunshine year-round. Seasonal temperatures range from 16-24°C in the spring to 38°C in the summer months (June through August) and cooling to high 20s again in September and October. During the winter months, snow is not uncommon, but a range of 4-15 °C is typical.

Itinerary

Day 1-3

Zion, The Southwest, United States of America

Touch down in Utah and be whisked off to the raw wilderness of Zion, staying at the sublime Cliffrose Lodge, with the Virgin River running through the rambling grounds. Brace yourself to experience breath-taking views, the riverside beach, bbq grills and adventures galore. Each room has direct access to the sprawling botanical gardens set in the shadows of Zion Canyon.

Rise early to meet your certified Hatha yoga instructor who will lead you on a hike to a beautiful location along a scenic trail just outside of Zion. They will take you through a stunning yoga session adapted to your level of fitness where they will take you on an exploration of the physical, mental, and spiritual side of yoga. After lunch explore Zion’s canyonlands on a mountain biking adventure! You will be guided through a thrilling mix of easy to intermediate climbs, and with fast flowing downhill sections there is something for everyone. Even advanced riders will be gripped by the vistas that will surround you. You may even get the chance to spot rabbits, lizards, and small birds flitting between bushes, while ravens, hawks, and vultures soar serenely overhead. It will then be time to head back to the wonder of Cliffrose Lodge to rest those weary legs after your day of immense adventure.

Enjoy breakfast before your first activity of the day, a scenic journey from Zion to Moab with customized stops to suit your level of adventure. Sit back and enjoy the ever-changing landscapes as you head through Utah's badlands, home to some of the world's richest fossil beds. Journey along Utah's famed ST 12 Highway, winding your way through red rock canyons to arrive at Capitol Reef National Park. Upon arriving here, sit back and relax with a delicious picnic lunch at a tranquil, tucked-away nook overlooking the majestic landscape. You will then head out to explore this magnificent park, before travelling onto your next luxury hideaway, Hoodoo Moab.

Day 3-6

Moab, The Southwest, United States of America

Tucked away next to Moab’s majestic red stone rocks, Hoodoo Moab is the perfect retreat to explore this wild landscape. A hidden gem boasting its own pool and range of epic tours that lead you to embrace this corner of Utah. The hotel wraps around the fabulous pool, offering a welcome oasis to rest and cool off from the day’s heat.

Feeling rested and well fed, brace yourself for an awesome day of hiking through the Arches and Canyonlands National Parks! Start your epic trip at the Island in the Sky and descend via the steep switchbacks of the Shafer Trail. Soak up the views of the Colorado River, iconic landforms and land arches as you make your way to the Devils Garden for a delicious deli-style lunch. In the afternoon the excitement builds ahead of your epic backcountry Arches 4x4 tour. The trail climbs and cuts across a valley, meandering through sandstone fins and dunes. En route, pass the Marching Men, Tower Arch, and the Eye of the Whale. Head back and delve into everything that your hotel Hoodoo Moab offers.

If you feel like an early rise you can choose to pre-book a sunrise pilates class in a secluded canyon set along the Colorado River, a relaxing way to start the day! Later in the morning let the excitement build on a rafting adventure on the Colorado River, taking in the magical sights as you go. On a hot summer day this is the best experience in the desert! Afterwards either head back to relax at your hotel, or pre-book another activity. We recommend a guided sunset horseback riding excursion through the scenic ranch land in the Professor Valley.

Enjoy your hotel for one last evening and soaking up everything this corner of Utah brings you.
