Ponant endeavours to bring active explorers bespoke and intuitive service, luxury facilities and immersive itineraries, creating intimate voyages with eco-sustainability at its core. Every cruise and experience programme is planned with a high level of care, knowledge and passion.

Slightly smaller than sister ships L’Austral, Le Boréal and Le Sodéal, the beautifully understated Le Lyrial carries a maximum of 244 guests, accommodated in just 122 staterooms and suites. With a 145-strong crew, the service is as flawless and personal as a private yacht experience, while the interiors are full of tasteful French flair, all infused with a vibe of discreet luxury. The ship’s cutting-edge design allows for voyages to some of the world’s most remote locations, including the polar regions, and the use of modern technology provides state of the art safety features with a stellar environmental performance.

The staterooms and suites are generously sized, with all categories of stateroom sleeping up to two with a private balcony. The exception is the Superior Stateroom, which includes a large picture window and can sleep up to three. There’s a choice of suite categories, with some sleeping up to four guests. Standard amenities include Wi-Fi, climate control, on-demand video and Diptyque bathing products. While the staterooms feature seating areas, ensuite shower and separate WC, the suites offer a more residential experience and include upgraded facilities including butler service, daily snacks, and priority boarding. For complimentary spa treatments, a Balneo therapeutic bathtub and tailormade excursions, book the Owner’s Suite.

For formal French fine dining, head to the elegant Le Céleste, while more relaxed fare is on offer at the grill restaurant, La Comète. Guests can enjoy music and live entertainment in the main lounge, bar, and theatre, where destination presentations also take place. There is an al fresco bar overlooking the pool deck, and the Panoramic Lounge includes an area for photography workshops, image viewing and printing and a children’s games area, with Wii and PS4s. For relaxation, there is a spa with treatments rooms, hammam, fitness studio and hair salon. The crew includes expert destination guides and naturalists and there is a fleet of 11 Zodiac boats for shore landings, offshore activities and excursions.
