The most famous of quarries on the Zambezi River would be the infamous Tigerfish. A relative of the piranha, these formidable fish have large carnivorous teeth, can grow to 15kg and are renowned for the fighting performance they put up. Fishing is successful all year round although the best time for tigerfish is from late August to mid November. Your guide will help you navigate the waters, keeping a sharp eye out to avoid drifting over pods of hippos and keeping an eye out for crocs. All in all it is a most exciting activity.
