Home Hotel oozes coolness and class and is owned by former publicist Patricia O’Shea and her British husband, Tom Rixton, a well-known music producer. They worked together with Argentine architect Rodrigo Cunhill to design a bright and contemporary space, decked out with vintage Scandinavian furniture and 1960s Robin Day Ploypop chairs. This swanky yet understated boutique hotel showcases a rotating collection of colourful artwork and creative cuisine as well as unique local staff brimming with personal recommendations.

There are eighteen stylishly decorated guest rooms and suites filled with natural light, fresh flowers, vintage wallpapers, soft Chilean rugs and colourful touches. The enormous garden suites and pool suites each feature private terraces and a small private pool our outdoor fireplace, respectively. Two lofts are also available with private street entrances, fully equipped kitchens and inviting patios with Argentine BBQs that are excellent for travellers looking for an independent stay with hotel amenities.

Just like its namesake the hotel has a warm and friendly atmosphere. The hotel is very hip but not over the top and features a small in-house spa with an excellent range of treatments from jet lag recovery massages to seaweed wraps. There is a large garden and barbecue area designed by actress Chunachuna Villafane, an outdoor infinity pool and funky lounge bar. Why not sample a mojito by the pool made from one of the five types of mint grown in the hotel’s very own herb garden.
