Duba Plains Camp is an unobtrusive camp surrounded by expanses of seasonally flooded plains and shaded by tall ebony, sycamore fig and mangosteen trees. Located on a tree-covered island in a 30,000-hectare concession known as the Kwedi Reserve, Duba Plains Camp is a beautiful intimate camp renowned for rewarding game-viewing with good populations of plains game, buffalo, resident prides of lion, leopard, elephant and wild dog.
Accommodation at Duba Plains Camp consists of five spacious tents with en-suite bathrooms with indoor and out door showers and a luxurious bathtub. Each tent is decorated with furnishings inspired by classic 1920s safari style with leather arm chairs and Persian rugs over the dark wooden floors. All have their own large private deck with plunge pool, the perfect place to relax in between activities. In addition to the five tents there is an exclusive two bedroom Duba Suite well suited for families or small groups. The camp is surrounded by extensive seasonally flooded plains and shaded by tall ebony, fig and garcinia trees. The bar and dining area are also raised, to enhance the viewing of the abundant wildlife surrounding the camp.
Duba Plains Camp offers a variety of activities including day and night game drives, often tracking the buffalo herd around the concession. Boat cruises are dependent on the seasonal water levels in the Duba area. Birdlife is abundant and impressive in the Okavango Delta, with Rosy-throated Longclaw, Slaty Egret and Wattled Crane often sighted.
