With only a handful of camps located on the 22,000 acre concession, you can enjoy uncrowded game viewing in a stunning area of the Okavango Delta.

Sitting in front of a hippo-filled lagoon, Mapula Lodge is brimming with character and quirky touches making it a perfect Delta safari spot for anyone wanting a lodge with some personality and style. The large lounge in the main area affords a wonderful spot to relax in during an afternoon, with the sparkling swimming pool offering a place to stay cool on hot Delta afternoons where you can enjoy views over the lagoon.

The main reason to stay in this incredible part of the world is for the wildlife, and Mapula offers plenty of opportunities to head out to explore the concession and all it has to offer. Morning and afternoon game drives are the perfect way to explore large areas to try and find as much game as possible, from elephants and buffalo to big cats, wild dogs and some incredible birdlife. Water levels in the Delta are highest from April to October, making this the best time to explore the numerous waterways by boat or mokoro where you will likely see small reed frogs, dragonflies and birds. For a birds-eye view of the Delta get up early to take a hot air balloon flight over the waterways and do some game viewing from above (this activity comes at an extra cost).
