During this tour, you will visit the remarkable Tenorio Volcano National Park to hike 5 miles (approximately 4 hours) through fascinating rainforest trails that wind along the wonderful blue-coloured Rio Celeste. The further upriver you go, the deeper the colour of the water. At Los Destiladeros, the confluence of the Buena Vista and Roble rivers, the intense colour is generated as a result of the chemical blend of sulphur and carbonates from Tenorio Volcano. On the way back, stop at Las Ollas (the cooking pots), earth cavities full of boiling clay, and the impressive Rio Celeste Waterfall. The final reward is an exquisite Costa Rican lunch at the Rio Celeste Hideaway Hotel's private lounge.
