Ankarana Lodge is a beautiful place to stay, and located close to eastern side of the Ankarana Reserve. For wildlife lovers, the lodge is the perfect place to stay. Look out for a variety of different species of lemurs and birds and in the evening have a search for geckoes, frogs and chameleons that all live in close proximity to the lodge. After having almost completely burned down in 2011, the lodge was completely rebuilt and now has a handful of small, comfortable, well furnished, air-conditioned bungalows made of stone and wood, all with en-suite bathrooms.
The lodge has plenty of facilities to use. There is a good size swimming pool and a bar which serves an array of cocktails, so why not sit back and relax and try to spot a chameleon whilst sipping your favourite cocktail!
There are plenty of activities to do during your stay at Ankarana lodge. Take a tour into the Ankarana Reserve to try and spot the local wildlife or why not take a hike up to the heart of Tsingy- a world-renowned rock formation which was formed 200-400 million years ago. If all of these sound too active, why not simply relax by the pool with your favourite cocktail or taste some Malagasy specialities at the restaurant.
