A 60 hectare site, Te Puia is home to the New Zealand Maori Arts and Crafts Institute, a live kiwi enclosure, the world-famous Pohutu Geyser, and more than 500 geothermal wonders. Today you will discover the rich history and incredible landscape and some of New Zeland's natural wonders.
Start at the infamous Pohutu Geyser while exploring the Te Whakarewarewa Geothermal Valley; New Zealand is a hub of geothermal activity.
Next, stop at the Kiwi House. Here you will enjoy a cultural performance of Powhiri. Powhiri is a traditional Maori welcome. Later you can also watch a traditional Kapa Haka performance which Kiwi's are so well known for.
