Start this half-day tour by visiting a garden farm where coconut, banana, papaya, and vegetables are grown in this tropical corner of Oman. Elsewhere in the city, the tour will take in the old houses, which are ruined but still standing. En route to the Prophet Saleh's sacred camel footprint, you can stop for a photo stop at the beautiful Shanfari Mosque. Al Husn Souq is also well worth a visit, as this is where the famed Dhofari frankincense, rated the best in the world, is sold along with frankincense burners. Another market worth a visit is the cattle one. Take the opportunity to walk along the waterfront corniche towards Al Husn Palace, the summer residence of Sultan Qaboos, which stands at one end. Finally, you will head to the Museum of the Frankincense Land and the archaeological site. This tour is only available from Saturday to Wednesday.
