An hour’s drive from ancient Cusco in the heart of the Sacred Valley, the Sonesta Posadas del Inca has 87 spacious and well-appointed guest rooms, all individually designed and most boasting stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Featuring hardwood floors and stone walls, each room comes with air-conditioning, a TV and an en-suite bathroom.

The Sacred Valley is substantially lower than Cusco, and you can enjoy warmer temperatures and abundant sunshine that make activities such as horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking and rafting extremely pleasant. Near the Sonesta are the craft markets of Pisac and Chinchero, the multi-coloured salt lagoons of Maras, the ruins of Ollantaytambo, and it makes an appealing place to relax before or after visiting Machu Picchu.
