Travel has always been a large part of my life, a passion ignited from my first visit to Russia as a child and my subsequent relocation to Moscow in 2010. After spending five years exploring this amazing, vast country and immersing myself fully in the culture and learning the language, I began my professional travel career at Scott Dunn in 2015.

Since then, I have been on an amazing journey and have been lucky to travel to some incredible destinations around the world: India, Sri Lanka, China, Japan, Mongolia, South Africa and the Maldives to name a few.

Asia has always been my passion; from the buzzing cities of Delhi and Tokyo to the incredible landscapes of Himalayas and Gobi Desert. I particularly love Japan for its varied cuisine, fascinating (and often completely bizarre!) sub-cultures and rich history. Staying in one of the country’s many traditional ryokans is a real highlight to any trip and a great way to really immerse yourself in the experience. Japan is a foodie’s paradise - whether its sampling some of the many Michelin-starred restaurants, a private kaiseki dinner with a geisha or yakitori and an Asahi in a local izakaya, there is truly something for everyone.

The joy of travel comes from the unique experiences each destination has to offer and arranging bespoke experiences for my guests is what I love most about working in travel. From private birthday drinks at sunset on the Great Wall of China, encounters with local artisans in Kanazawa and romantic candlelit dinners at a private palace in Rajasthan to gaming in Akihabara and treasure hunts in the Forbidden City, it is these experiences that make travel magical. Working in travel allows me to help my guests make truly magical memories and that is what I enjoy most.

My hot picks

My top tips

  • When in Moscow, be sure to take a ride on the Metro. The stations are absolutely stunning!

  • The best food in Kerala is served on the houseboats so be sure to include a stay on one during your visit.

  • If you're a little adventurous, I would highly recommend hiring a moped on the south coast in Sri Lanka, It's the best way to explore the jungle landscape and find hidden beaches.

  • When in Japan you have to stay in a traditional Japanese inn (ryokan). They are super luxurious, the food is incredible and it is a truly authentice experience.
