Tristan Williams
Growing up in a beautiful but very isolated area of Devon, much of my childhood was spent dreaming of distant corners of the globe. At the age of 18, I deferred my entry to University and embarked on a life changing adventure through Southern Africa, which was followed swiftly by further trips through Europe, Asia and Central America.
Following the successful completion of my degree, my career of choice was never really in doubt and I have now worked in the travel industry in one form or another for 6 years.

My hot picks
-
Belmond La Residencia, Mallorca, Spain
In my opinion, this is one of the most beautiful properties in Europe. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Tramuntana Mountains in the traditional and surprisingly lively village of Deia, La Residencia is the ultimate luxury getaway. . -
Borgo Egnazia, Savalletri di Fasano, Puglia, Italy
Borgo is rapidly becoming one of Europe’s most sort after hotels, appealing to both couples and families alike. The property has so much to offer it is difficult to know where to start, but the decor really is something to be admired! -
Daios Cove, Crete, Greece
The perfect hotel for a family holiday, combining fantastic kids club facilities with five star luxury. The view from the Crystal Box Bar is worth the visit alone!
My top tips
-
Mallorca has a treasure trove of stunning landscapes and villages just waiting to be found. Head to the west coast and the Tramontana Mountains to the traditionally Majorcine town of Soller, then head to to the small idyllic village of Fornalutx.
-
I appreciate its difficult to find a reason to leave Necker Island, but if you fancy experiencing some authentic BVI hospitality then jump on boat and head to Leverick Bay where you will find the most lively bars.

Any holiday to Marrakesh is not complete without some time in the Atlas Mountains. No matter where you stay take the time to visit the many fascinating Berber communities. Ride a mule or even a quad bike to explore off the beaten track!
