Wuhan
As the capital city of the Hubei province, Wuhan is the gateway to key sites such as Mount Wudang, Shennongjia and Enshi Grand Canyon. However, it also holds its own as a cultural powerhouse, earning a designation as a UNESCO Creative City in the field of design.
Wuhan was once three separate cities: Hanyang, Hankou and Wuchang. These three cities were separated from each other by a river, but all of which are considered among China's most important cities during the Ming and Qing dynasties.
