Hotel Excelsior has been operating since 1913 is benefiting from a total refurbishment in 2016 and 2017. It is a very classy hotel which has a wonderful sense of history about it and has attracted visitors such as the British royal family, Elizabeth Taylor and Jackie Onassis.
The Excelsior has 158 rooms including a separate villa, Villa Agave. The rooms are elegantly designed and most have a sea view with some enjoying unforgettable views over to the sun soaked white walls of the old town.
The Excelsior has three restaurants. Salin is the hotel’s main restaurant with a beautiful al fresco terrace, Sensus Fine Dining Restaurant offers the finest choice of contemporary dishes and Prora Beach Restaurant is a fine dining Mediterranean a-la-carte restaurant. Guests can relax after dinner in the Abakus Piano Bar which serves choice light bites in an intimate atmosphere with astonishing views or enjoy a drink during sundown on the terrace.
