As a former banker married to a finance executive, I know full well that every holiday time is incredibly precious. I learned to plan my holidays to maximize every experience, create bonding moments with our two sons wherein we could discover the world and its myriad cultures together. I grew up in Manila, raised my family in Singapore and spent a three-year post in London.

Galapagos Island Cruise FAQs

  • When's the best time to take a Galapagos Islands cruise?

The Galapagos Islands are great to visit all year round. They're home to one of the most temperate climates in the world and you can enjoy incredible wildlife experiences in most months.

The best time to visit depends on the experiences you most want from your trip. The best time for warm weather is between December and May when the temperatures average around 30ºC. The cooler season from June to November is ideal for viewing marine and bird life, but the sea is choppier.

Our travel experts can tell you the best time to go on a cruise to the Galapagos Islands based on the experiences that most appeal to you – just get in touch.

  • Do I need any vaccinations to travel to the Galapagos Islands?

The National Travel Health Network and Centre (NaTHNaC) gives the following vaccine recommendations for travelling to Ecuador.

Most travellers are recommended to get vaccinations for:

    • Hepatitis A
    • Tetanus

Depending on medical history, pre-existing medical conditions, and planned activities, some travellers who might be at higher risk are recommended to get vaccinations for:

    • Hepatitis B
    • Rabies
    • Tuberculosis
    • Typhoid
    • Yellow fever

Ideally, you should schedule a vaccine appointment at least 4-6 weeks before your departure date, as some medications need enough time to become effective. A medical professional will assess your medical history and existing health problems to determine and address any risks you might face during your cruise to the Galapagos Islands.

  • How much does a luxury cruise to the Galapagos Islands cost?

Our Galapagos cruise tours start from $19,900 per person. But please bear in mind that all our holidays are tailor-made, so the final price will depend on the specific experiences you want to include, as well as any other destinations.
