La Selva can be found within the Yasuni Biosphere Reserve in the heart of Ecuador's Amazon. The lodge is set on the edge of Heron Lake, just a little way along the Napo River from the town of Coca.

Having been completely remodelled in 2012, La Selva offers 18 comfortable suites, carefully set amongst the forest. The Suites have been built with bamboo from sustainable plantations and their open design means guests can enjoy the sounds of the forest when not out exploring.
The Scenic and Superior Suites feature their own private balconies, rainforest showers and panoramic views whilst the Family Suites feature spacious bathrooms, hammocks and a hot tub on the private terrace.
The lodge's restaurant serves a blend of both local and international cuisine, using fresh ingredients wherever possible. Other facilities at the lodge include a spa, an observation tower 20 minutes away and a Butterfly Farm.
The lodge works closely with the local community and tours and excursions are lead by bilingual English-Spanish speaking guides and local native guides. These tours typically can typically include hikes in the forest, canoe rides, night excursions and visits to the parrot clay lick.
