The Gateway Hotel Pasumalai Madurai is located close to the 17th-century Thirumalai Nayakkar Mahal. Just 15km from Madurai Airport, this colonial-style hotel sits at the top of Pasumalai Hill and boasts views overlooking the Kodai Hills.
The hotel has just 63 tasteful rooms, and has a colonial flair about it. We recommend the Superior Rooms which feature large bay windows overlooking the city.
Set within 62 acres of gardens, guests can sit back and relax here after a day's sightseeing. Facilities include a large swimming pool as well as tennis courts and a gym for those looking to keep active during their stay.
There are also two restaurants to choose from; Harveys Lounge Bar and Vista, which serves up an array of dishes from around the world. Vista is great for Al fresco dining, whilst Harveys Lounge Bar is ideal for a night cap before bed.
