Rosa Alpina is a charming hotel located in the quaint village of San Cassiano in the Italian Dolomites along with Chalet Zeno, which is also owned by Rosa Alpina. The renowned restaurant St Hubertus has recently been awarded its third Michelin Star and has also just been made a member of the Leading Hotels of the World. With fabulous restaurants, a wonderful spa with two different wellness areas and beautifully designed rooms, it is a perfect haven to return to after a day exploring the mountains.

The timeless elegance of the rooms, furnished with wood, linen and marble, reflect the hotel’s natural surroundings. The living area is furnished with authentic local antiques and the bathrooms have a ceramic or marble bath. The Suites are furnished according to different themes which refer to the local culture and include a comfortable sitting area with sofa and dispose in part of a fireplace or tiled stoves.

Located in the basement of the main building, the spa offers a full range of luxurious treatments, complemented by the two different wellness areas. The wellness area for families includes a swimming pool and saunas and the Wellness Wing is for guests aged 16 and over and includes a new indoor pool, saunas, gym and relaxation area. The wellness areas are the perfect place to unwind and indulge your senses.

The outstanding restaurants range from 3 Michelin-star gourmet cuisine, to simple Alpine and Italian specialities. At the Wine Bar & Grill delicious pizzas are cooked in wood oven fire and a fantastic breakfast buffet is served at Limonaia restaurant. If you wish to sample traditional Ladin cuisine then you can try “Turtres” (a kind of stuffed crullers) or “Cajinci” (stuffed pasta pockets similar to ravioli) and dessert could be apple strudel or “Kiachln” (like a doughnut).

The Dolomites are situated in the southern Alps in the north of Italy and are very popular for road and mountain bikers along with hikers. The hikes available vary from family friendly to more challenging options where a mountain guide can be arranged through the concierge. The ski domain is known as the Dolomiti Superski and consists of 460 lifts and 760 miles of ski runs during the winter months. During the summer, the Dolomites turn from white to green and 10 chairlifts remain open to take walkers up the mountain. Enjoy a wide range of activities from paragliding to white-water rafting, which can be organised directly through the hotel.

The Rosa Alpina is also ideal for skiing in Winter.
