Located at the base of Mount Myojogatake, this ryokan prides itself on spacious accommodation, offering six prestigious suites. The lobby has the same natural pale wood tones, large picture windows and neutral colour scheme as the suites, and both exude a sense of calm and serenity. Large and airy, the lobby is the only shared public space at Gen Hakone, where guests will find a small shop and seating area.
Each of the six suites has a glass floor-to-ceiling wall with incredible mountain views. Lounge areas have traditional tatami flooring, large table, sofa, oversized TV and separate bedroom with Western beds. Equally spacious is the terrace with private outdoor onsen. The large bathrooms have separate WC and guests also have an indoor onsen to enjoy.
Traditional kaiseki dining is served directly to your room for both breakfast and dinner. Dietary requirements can be catered for if requested well in advance. With private onsen in each of the guest rooms there is no communal bathing facility, although in-room spa treatments can be booked.
