Average time to visit

Tokyo kicks off its year with cold winter days and the odd snowfall. Although temperatures occasionally drop below freezing, winter (December to February) is usually reasonable. Spring (March to May) brings pleasant, warm days, and, of course, cherry blossoms – early April is probably the best time to view the blooms. Summer (June to August) is hot and muggy. Late June can see torrential rains. The temperature and humidity are at their worst in August. Apart from spring, autumn (September to November) is the most pleasant season as temperatures cool down to a cosy level and days are often clear and fine. Autumn also means the return of the dramatic foliage season, when the parks and green areas of the city mellow into varying hues of orange and red.

Itinerary

Day 1-3

Tokyo, Japan

Experience the vibrant sights of Tokyo, starting from the iconic Tsukiji fish market where fresh seafood can be found. For those who are keen to wake up early to observe tuna auction and dining at Toyosu Fish Market, this can be arranged as an optional add-on.

Afterwards, we continue to the Sumo Stable where you can learn about the life of a sumo wrestler before proceeding into the vibrant Eastern Tokyo. Explore the Asakusa street lined with Japanese snacks and goods on both sides leading up into the bright red Sensoji Temple. Exiting via Nakamise Street, you will continue into the Akihabara Electric Town and not to miss the postcard-perfect Imperial Palace.

You will be based in the distinctively beautiful Palace Hotel Tokyo, which comes with view of the Imperial Palace and its gardens.
