Little Petra
Significantly smaller than the main site of Petra, Little Petra is nevertheless worth a visit, offering a taster of incredible Nabataean architecture.
Follow the 400-metre-long siq into the open areas where you can explore temples and dining rooms carved into the rock face. Climb up into the Painted House, where you can see faded Nabataean frescos depicting flowers and birds. At the end of the Siq al-Barid, there are steps where you can climb to the top of the gorge and admire the view on the other side. Little Petra is sure to whet the appetite of visitors as a complement to the main site of Petra.
