Lake Naivasha, Kenya
  • On shores of Lake Naivasha with beautiful views over to Mount Longonot

  • Day trips to Lake Nakuru National Park

  • Boat excursions on Lake Naivasha.

  • Horse riding around Loldia House.

Loldia House is a traditional Kenyan homestead found nestling in the shade under acacia and wild fig trees on the western shores of Lake Naivasha. Each morning you are woken by the calls of the lake’s resident fish eagles, you will then be served breakfast on the lawn where hippos have grazed throughout the night. Guests can explore the farm’s 8,000 acres on foot or horseback amongst herds of wild antelope and zebra. A truly unique experience. Warm, sunny days are complemented by cosy evenings sat around the roaring log fire. At the end of the day, enjoy a hosted scrumptious alfresco dinner under the spreading fig trees or in the original dining room.

4 x 4 vehicles are available to take you on game drives around the surrounding area where you can see a wealth of wildlife including leopard, buffalo and hippo. Boat trips on the lake give you the opportunity to experience the huge numbers and variety of bird life. Loldia House provides an excellent base from which to explore Lake Nakuru National Park which is famous for its resident pink flamingos and healthy numbers of both the endangered black and white rhino. Guests can also climb Mount Longonot, which is opposite Loldia House on the other side of the lake. A nice treat is to take a picnic lunch on the picturesque Crescent Island. Or perhaps you can get involved in a local community project to leave your mark on the area? Whatever you decide to do, you will be sure to leave with a very unique and special experience from your time spent at Loldia House.
