Nong Kiau Riverside Resort is located on the banks of the scenic Nam Ou River in the northern town of Nong Khiaw. This is a really great place to stopover en route from northern Laos to Luang Prabang or vice versa, or even spend a few nights here!

Nong Kiau Riverside Resort provides a great stopover base when you journey up or down the Nam Ou river in Northern Laos to or from Luang Prabang. The resort holds a beautiful location on the banks of the river with all bungalows having beautiful views over the water. There are beautiful gardens surrounding the bungalows which add lots of colour and charm to the resort.
There are only 15 bungalows in total so it is a lovely boutique resort. All bungalows are very spacious with 40sqm of space with a big private balcony so you can enjoy the views. There is a restaurant at the resort where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and supper should you wish. But it may be fun to venture out in the evening to a local restaurant of which there are many!
You may just be staying one night here, but if you want to stay a few more there are lots of fun activities to do in the area. You can rent some bikes from the resort to explore the area a bit further, perhaps challenge yourself to the viewpoint trek, maybe do some kayaking on the river or even enjoy a cooking class so you could easily fill a few days here.
