The most accessible beaches in Borneo are found in Sabah, on the coastline around Kota Kinabalu. Whilst there may only be a handful of luxury properties, these are varied enough to cater to most tastes, ranging from more traditional beach resorts to rustic island hideaways.

Beneath the waves dwell a kaleidoscope of tropical fish and coral reefs, which can be explored on snorkelling or diving trips.
