Perfectly set on the tranquil shores of Baja California's Sea of Cortez and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Camp Cecil overlooks a protected national marine park which is home to playful sea lions, schools of tropical fish and pods of friendly dolphins. Situated on the peaceful island of Espiritu Santo, guests are completely surrounded by an untamed landscape of prickly green cacti, towering cliffs and incredible rock formations.
Featuring just eight beautifully decorated camping tents, Camp Cecil brings guests closer to nature without compromising on comfort. Guests will wake to the sound of the ocean lapping at the shores and a gentle wind outside as the sunlight comes flooding into the tent; a day of adventure awaits.
A typical day will begin with a delicious breakfast of fresh fruit, pastries, coffee or tea as you prepare for the day of exploration ahead. Accompanied by a bilingual naturalist guide, your day can be tailored around your own interests. Take a daily boat ride out to swim with sea lion pups, spot brown pelicans nesting on nearby rocky islets or investigate hidden coves where sea turtles rest. Explore the island on a nature hike and learn of local ecology and history or simply spend your days exploring the islets snorkelling with all the animals you encounter.
