Best Time to Visit Mozambique
When is the best time to visit Mozambique? The truth is there is no right or wrong answer for when to go, and it will often depend on your interests. With a tropical coastline stretching over 2000km, the regions vary in weather slightly between the south and north.
Like its Southern African neighbours, Mozambique’s rainy season tends to fall from December to March, although the downpours last a tad longer in the north. This sultry season has high temperatures and humidity to match, although it’s a great time to spot whale sharks in Bazaruto. From May the sky clears, humidity drops (and prices rise), and the famous tropical sun comes out to bathe the coral white beaches. The dry season runs until October and it’s the time to play in and under the waves, with scuba diving at its best. This coincides with the safari season for a dreamy wildlife and waves adventure.
