Cape Town is a year-round destination. The summers are generally warm and dry, while winters tend to be wet and cool, the rains brought on by fierce north westerly gales. Neither season experiences extremes of temperature, thanks to prevailing winds. Summer (Nov-Mar) is the hottest with temperatures 20-40°C. Mid season (Apr, May, Sep, Oct) temps between 10-30°C. Winter (from June- Aug) is the low season with temps 0-25°C.
There is no bad time to go on safari in the Kruger National Park. The experience does, however, change from month to month. In the summer months (October to March), it gets very hot. The verdant vistas are all the more spectacular because of the rains, but this means that the foliage is denser, water is more abundant and game is therefore trickier to see. There are lots of beautiful migratory birds during the summer months. While the daytime temperature in the winter months (May to September) is ideal, it does get a little chilly at night and in the early morning.
The Bazaruto Archipelago is warm and sunny year round with temperatures averaging 25° C in the winter months (May – August) and over 30° C in the summer months (December - March). Rain is possible from November to March, usually in short bursts. The sea temperature varies with the seasons and currents, and ranges between 22° C and 32° C.

Fly to Cape Town
Cape Town, South Africa
Begin with three nights in the cosmopolitan city of Cape. Marvel at the views out across the Atlantic Ocean from the comfort of your room, stroll along the popular V&A Waterfront or explore the stunning beaches of Camp's Bay, a short distance away. Cape Town offers something for every traveller, whether it be taking a foodie tour with an expert guide through the back streets of the city, or paddle boarding with penguins at Boulders Bay along the Cape Peninsular. Dine in world class restaurants or sample fine wines in picturesque vineyards. A few days here will offer a small taste of this vibrant city and leave you wanting more.

Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, Greater Kruger, South Africa
From Cape Town fly direct to Kruger National Park and enjoy three nights on safari on the exclusive Timbavati Game Reserve staying at the luxurious &Beyond Ngala Tented Camp. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in search of the big five or get out on foot and track the smaller creatures which surround you. The Timbavati is renowned for spectacular game viewing opportunities with an abundance of wildlife at every turn. Lion populations are high as well as regular sightings of rhino, buffalo, leopard, and elephant and of course plenty of plains game. Ngala Tented Camp offers a magical spot on the banks of the Sand River and a stay here will be unforgettable.

Benguerra Island, Bazaruto and the south coast, Mozambique
Leaving the wildlife behind fly direct to Vilanculos in southern Mozambique. Here you will meet your helicopter and take a short flight over the crystal-clear waters and sandbanks to the paradise island of Benguerra and spend five nights at a luxurious lodge. Set on sandy white beaches, your lodge is the essence of barefoot rustic luxury. Each villa is secluded with direct beach access and private plunge pools. Days can be spent exploring the surrounding islands, picnics on private beaches, snorkelling in crystal clear waters, diving with manatees or whale sharks (seasonal) or simply relaxing in the privacy of your own villa.
