South Africa and Mauritius are both year round destinations although of course some times are better than others. The summer months run from October - April in South Africa, and Mauritius has generally good weather being a tropical island but rain and cyclones can be possible from January to April.

Fly to Johannesburg
Marakele National Park, Madikwe and the northwest, South Africa
Flying overnight and touching down in Johannesburg, you’ll soon be on your way to start your safari as you are met off the plane by a representative and whisked through the airport to meet your driver. You will journey north for about 4 hours where you’ll arrive at Marakele National Park, an area of undeniable beauty, where lush bushveld gives way to the Kalahari sands. Your destination is Marataba Mountain Lodge, a sanctuary in the mountains overlooking a valley and your home for the next four nights.
Spend your days immersed in the wild and enjoy exclusive experiences to cherish for a lifetime. Glide along the Matlabis River on a boat safari and enjoy a glass of wine and tasty bites as you watch elephants drinking at the water’s edge, kicking up the dust in the glow of the setting sun. Feel your senses awaken as you walk in the tracks of wildlife, led by an expert guide who will point out the spoor of lions and the tracks of black rhino. Venture into the limitless landscapes of this wilderness and keep your eyes peeled for the Big Five, feeling your excitement build as you approach a herd of elephants majestically ambling by. For an adventurous and romantic escape, opt for a night out in the Thabametsi treehouse and fall asleep in your king size bed under a net of star constellations, listening to the sounds of the bush in the depths of the wild.
North Coast, Mauritius
Tropical island bliss awaits you. This morning you’ll set off early to travel back to Johannesburg in time for your flight to Mauritius. Arriving on this island of pure beauty, you’ll step off the plane and gaze out at the lush, rolling hills surrounding you before heading to the dramatic north coast of the island.
Your home for the next six nights is Paradise Cove, a boutique resort with just 75 rooms, an idyllic honeymoon haven.
