Close to the famed hillside town of Ella, 98 Acres is a luxurious retreat set on a hillock. Eco-friendly and intimate, the main highlight here is the stunning views and the lush green tea estate that surrounds it.

There are just 25 chalets to choose from here, all made of sustainable bamboo materials. Each chalet is cantilevered into the hillside, with vistas stretching to the southern lakes, the famous Ella rock and even Little Adam’s Peak.

Within the resort there is a spacious dining area and lounge pavilion which opens out overlooking the green jungle below. The swimming pool is close by and guests can relax here unwinding with a good book. For younger guests, there is even a kids pool, perfect for splashing about in.

The location of the resort makes it easily accessible by train, a must when visiting Sri Lanka. Arriving into Nuwara Eliya, you can experience the colonial charm of Little England. 98 Acres is in a great location for guests to explore the tea plantations, on nature walks or on a tour of a local tea factory where you can learn about the growth and production of some of the world's finest tea.
