  • Opt for a heritage stay in a 19th century colonial bungalow or choose modern elegance in a glass-walled pool villa.

  • Restore your wellbeing through a series of bespoke nutrition, fitness, and mindfulness programmes.

  • Take a guided nature walk discovering the surrounding tea, rubber, and cinnamon plantations.

With a focus on holistic wellbeing, Glenross Living is a scenic sanctuary set amid the tropical foliage of Sinharaja Rainforest. The main Manor House was once the 19th century home of a Scottish colonial tea planter and still retains much of its old-world charm with elegant archways, grand Georgian windows, and airy high ceilings. Standing within a 90-acre site of tea, rubber and cinnamon plantations, the house has been sympathetically updated with modern amenities and chic furnishings. In contrast, the site is also home to seven modern glass-walled stylish pool villas, which are the epitome of contemporary minimalist design.

Each of the three suites in the Manor House includes a spacious bedroom with plush King bed, chic upscale colonial-style décor, comfortable seating area, ensuite bathroom, climate control, ceiling fans, Wi-Fi, TV, and minibar. Guests in the Manor House also have access to a separate common living room. The Manor House Suite is located on the ground floor, while two Admiral Suites are on the first floor. These can be booked together by families and larger groups, turning the first-floor space into a private apartment.

Alternatively, there are seven pool villas scattered throughout the site, which include separate bed and living rooms, spacious deck with private plunge pool and the option for in-villa dining. The Manor House includes a restaurant and well-stocked bar and there is a large, shared swimming pool with superb views of the valley. The service is warm and friendly, and all guests enjoy a dedicated butler service to help them get the most from their stay.

Meals are tailored to individual needs by Glenross Living’s in-house nutritionists. With an emphasis on wellbeing, menus are designed using fresh, organic, and locally sourced produce. Similarly, bespoke fitness programmes are devised by experienced trainers to help guests achieve their fitness goals and weight loss ambitions. Fitness activities include yoga, meditation, cardio, and strength training. Guests can also enjoy hiking, surfing and join a meditation and mindfulness programme aimed at helping to manage and alleviate stress.

Glenross also offers guests the chance to learn the ancient martial art of Angampora under the guidance of expert instructors. This ancient art helps to develop physical strength, metal clarity and agility. For additional relaxation, head to the luxurious spa for personalised treatments and massage designed to restore harmony to mind, body, and soul. Families with children can enjoy a variety of boardgames, kite flying, lantern making and learning how to play the traditional Indian game of Carrom.

During their stay, guests can enjoy several experiences that include outdoor dining by candlelight, a high tea picnic, movie night, cinnamon field trek, guided rubber tapping and a mindfulness stroll. All incur an additional charge.
