This exquisite architect-designed villa is a haven for those looking to discover Colombo in style. Located in a quiet neighbourhood, Ishq Colombo offers four bedrooms, sleeping up to 10 guests, a discerning team of managers, butlers, chefs, and attendants, private pool set within elegantly landscaped gardens and a rooftop Jacuzzi and steam room. Spread across two floors, the villa is flooded with natural light, while the décor echoes Sri Lanka’s rich heritage with one-of-a-kind antiques, custom furnishings, beautiful textiles, and original artwork. Ishq is Arabic for ‘love,’ reflecting the passion that has gone into creating this superior villa experience.

The ground floor living room is open on two sides providing access to the pool area and courtyard garden. There is also a library stocked with a rare book collection, while on the first floor a second living room features a vaulted ceiling, sumptuous sofas and inviting armchairs. There is also both a formal dining room and cosy breakfast area within the ground floor living room. The gardens are a riot of tropical colour, lush greenery, and mature trees, with a calming pond and shady verandas.

Alongside the colonial style décor, guests will find modern amenities including Bose speakers in the bedrooms, high speed Wi-Fi, Smart TVs with Netflix, a dedicated workstation, and treadmill. A chargeable laundry service is also available. The four suites are all generously proportioned, elegantly furnished with luxe ensuite facilities. Master Suite 1 includes a four-poster bed, living and dressing rooms. Master Suite 2 includes a large living room with a workstation and opens onto the roof terrace. The Guest Pool Suite on the ground floor has direct access to the pool, while the first-floor Corner Suite is a cosy and relaxing space for a couple. Additional amenities include climate control, safety deposit box, bathrobes, premium bathing products and hairdryer.

Bespoke fine dining is provided by a team of chefs, happy to work to your requests and to cater for all dietary requirements. Breakfast is included, while other meals can be chosen from a menu that includes Sri Lankan classics and international fusion cuisine. Although the villa does not serve alcohol, guests are welcome to bring their own drinks for staff to chill, store and serve. There is no charge for corkage.

Along with the villa’s private pool, there is also a rooftop Jacuzzi, steam room and two-bed spa room for massage and treatments. The nine-strong team of staff are on call 24-hours a day and the villa also has its own gardener and 24-hour security, for your peace of mind. Centrally located, Ishq Colombo offers easy access to the city’s upscale bars, restaurants, cafés, shops, museums, and art galleries. The villa is a 40-minute drive from the airport and 90-minutes from Galle.
