Places to Visit in St Vincent & Grenadines
Petit St Vincent, while a private resort in its own right, welcomes passing sailors to its shores – so can be visited via a boat charter. This luxury private island is fully off grid, so you’ll have to wait to upload your Instagram, but the time away from the phone is well worth it.
One of the smallest, yet most famous islands in the Caribbean is known as happy island. Man made with discarded conch shells by the owner and operator, this tiny beach bar has become an institution famed for the strength of the cocktails, the lobster lunches and warm hospitality. La Soufriere Volcano, at over 1200m is a long hard hike, but those that get to the top will be rewarded with staggering views across the whole of the grenadines – a long, but extremely memorable day. The newly built quayside at Canouan is reminiscent of a Caribbean Porto Fino, but with better rum and a super place to visit for sundowners at the end of another hard day in paradise.
