The St Regis is perfect for families or couples looking for a beach escape not too far away from home. Located on Saadiyat Island's nine-kilometre stretch of protected beach, it offers pure relaxation but still has a number of activities.
With more of an exclusive Mediterranean village feel compared to the usual ultra-modern properties in the area, this stately hotel sits on a long stretch of natural beach…one of the best in the Gulf
The beautiful white sandy beach is the resort’s main draw with sumptuous beach beds where you can top up your tan, catch up on your holiday reading and enjoy your favourite music playlist in peace…just catch a staff member’s attention for your drink refill
There’s a wonderful spa for all your pampering needs, a state-of-the-art gym and athletic club for fitness fanatics and a world-class golf course with stunning views as well
It’s unlikely that you’ll go hungry at the hotel with six restaurants and a plethora of culinary styles to choose from…whether it’s international classics, Mediterranean tapas or Pan Asian
The St Regis Saadiyat Island's 377 rooms are decorated in a Mediterranean style giving it a real seaside flavour, with lots of turquoise and earthy colours. The spacious bedrooms, filled with daylight, are at least 55 square metres in size with large balconies and butler service. The hotel is traditional yet contemporary in design with high ceilings and beautiful views of the gulf.
The hotel has a range of restaurants such as the relaxed seafood offering Turquoiz, which is located on the beach, as well as a number of lounges including the Drawing Room where the famous St Regis afternoon tea is served.
This is a great choice for families as the Sandcastle Club is fantastic, catering for all age groups in three separate rooms with board games, table tennis, arts and crafts, and a nap area for the wee ones. Interconnecting rooms are available and there is even a fun children's pool to explore.
With Abu Dhabi on its doorstep, guests don't have to spend the whole time relaxing on the beach or by the pool. In the city itself, the impressive Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is well worth a visit, and for a bit of fun Ferrari World is the ideal place for an adrenaline rush. The Saadiyat Beach Golf Club surrounds the hotel and you can even visit the nearby Yas Marina Circuit, location of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
When to visit
The beautiful beach stretches for nine kilometres and is protected, although it is worth bearing in mind that there are no motorised water sports.
