The best time to visit Charleston is during the spring, between March and May. The blooming Magnolia trees make for a picture-perfect city landscape and the temperatures are warm. The summer months of July and August can be incredibly hot and humid, so a few days in the city should be rounded off with a trip to the coast. Winter can be pleasant, but there is a slight chill in the air that deters most tourists.

Fly into Charleston
Charleston, South Carolina
Fly into the bustling city of Charleston. Starting in this beautiful city, guests will enjoy two nights experiencing the very best of Southern hospitality. Picture-perfect in every way, you will enjoy spending a few days exploring antebellum architecture, waterfront parks and boutique shops. With its buzzy atmosphere and endless amount of trendy bars and restaurants, you'll love Charleston for its undeniable romance and elegance. En route to your next stop, or even as a day trip, visit one of the city's neighbouring plantations, where tales of the American Civil War come to life and nature is abundant.

Jekyll Island, Georgia
Collect your hire car, escape the city, and head to the coast for some sun-soaking where you can explore the beautiful Jekyll Island by bicycle. Pay a visit to the patients at the Georgia Sea Turtle Centre, where up to 15 injured sea turtles are being rehabilitated for release back into the ocean and enjoy lunch on the pier. In the afternoon, cycle through oak trees draped in Spanish moss to the famous Driftwood Beach, where jagged ancient trees have burst through the sand due to erosion over the years, creating incredible photography opportunities.

Savannah, Georgia
You will then drive on to the beautiful city of Savannah. Explore the city's streets by foot and uncover what makes this fascinating city what it is today; from the trendy Charleston School of Art and Design (SCAD) to the historic cotton warehouses, the streets of Savannah are steeped in history and lie waiting to be discovered. A day exploring on foot must be topped off with a stop by Leopold's Ice Cream, an old school American Ice Cream parlour which continues to be a real gem for both locals and tourists after decades of sweet success.

Bluffton, South Carolina
For your final stop, you'll be staying in Bluffton, one of South Carolina's many treasures. Tranquil and luxurious, its the perfect place to round off to your trip. Spend your days out on the water kayaking, paddle boarding or boating before retreating to the poolside to relax in the sunshine. Get a taste of Southern cuisine and experience true luxury southern living in the heart of South Carolina. Visit the town of Bluffton, shoot some clays at the shooting club or go riding at the equestrian centre - there's something for everyone, and we couldn't think of a more perfect place to finish your trip.
