  • Relax in Switzerland's first Guerlain Spa or swim lengths in the city's longest indoor pool.

Built in 1901 on what is now Quai Wilson, The Woodward is housed in a handsomely ornate Belle Époque building, with magnificent views of Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc. This impressive edifice is reflected in the décor, a curated fusion of mid-century modernism, silk wallcoverings, parquet flooring, crystal chandeliers, muted gold gilding and glossy Macassar ebony. The service is exceptional, and the team can organise virtually any requests, be that lunch in Paris, cocktails on Mont Blanc or dinner in Verbier.

Of the 26 spacious suites, 21 overlook the lake, while the remaining five have side views from the sitting rooms. Each suite has been individually designed and features include high ceilings, tall windows, parquet flooring, silk wallcoverings, neutral colour scheme, marble fireplace, marble bathroom with large bathtubs, separate shower and Japanese-style WC. Sixth-floor suites include a balcony and table, while the Presidential Suite boasts panoramic views from every room, as well as a private dining room and loggia. For the ultimate in lakeside living, book the Royal Suite accessed by private elevator and designed to resemble a Parisian apartment. Families can request connecting suites, or a whole floor can be reserved if required. Child friendly activities and babysitting services can also be arranged and Le Jardinier offers a children’s menu.

Overseen by Executive Chef, Olivier Jean, the two restaurants, L’Atelier Robuchon and Le Jardinier, have both been recipients of Michelin stars in their New York locations, so expect outstanding, and creative cuisine. L’Atelier Robouchon offers an open kitchen experience, with just 36 diners seated around a counter, along with two semi-private dining rooms. The theatre-style drama is enhanced by the striking red and black décor. Signature dishes include shellfish jelly with light cauliflower cream and Sologne caviar and crab. For vegetarians and vegans, Le Jardinier places locally sourced plant produce centre stage. Overlooking the lake in a light, airy and elegant dining room, the vibe is wholesome and healthy.

Guests have access to Club Woodward, a wellness centre that includes a gym, the longest indoor pool in Geneva, whirlpool bath, steam rooms, saunas, snow shower, ice bucket shower, and two Swedish baths. Guerlain’s first Swiss spa has also set up residence here, with six treatment rooms, including one double room for side-by-side wellness treatments.
