Cradle Mountain Lodge is a superb wilderness escape featuring cozy cabins and the finest in food and wine. Surrounded by rugged mountain peaks, stunning lakes and ancient forests, this beautiful property is in a simply breathtaking World Heritage location in the north west interior of the island.
All of the private timber cabins at Cradle Mountain Lodge are dotted amongst the surrounding wilderness with views out over the soothing natural surroundings. Wallabies and wombats can be seen nibbling away at the buttongrass and possums look around furtively as they cross the timber boardwalks surrounding the lodge.
With roaring log fires and a cozy, friendly atmosphere, it is easy to do nothing at Cradle Mountain Lodge but relax, enjoy the scenery and life's simple pleasures. However, there are plenty of activities to enjoy from trekking to cycling and kayaking. There is a fantastic spa here to unwind at after the outdoor pursuits and at the end of the day you can relax in your lovely cabin surrounded by pine trees and local wildlife.
When to visit
Go for a King Billy Pine Suite if visiting in winter as the double sided wood fire make the cabin so cozy and warm.
