Stuben am Arlberg
Part of the Ski Arlberg area, Stuben am Arlberg is small mountain village, located just 15 minutes from Zurs, with easy ski lift connections to St Anton and St Christoph. It boasts 340km of downhill pistes in various levels with 200km of deep snow slopes.
This charming resort is the smallest of the five Arlberg villages with narrow lanes and more of an untouched feel. Its own ski area, Albona, is on the north slope of the Alps, ensuring a reliable level of snow and an excellent treeless downhill run.
It is connected to St Anton and St Christoph via the Albonabahn cable car. You can also catch a ski bus from Alpe Rauz (included in the lift pass) which will take you to Zürs so you can ski in the Lech and Zürs area.
Most of the accommodation is right by the ski slopes and many places offer ski in / ski out and Stuben prides itself on it's long history of hospitality. A free ski bus drives from Stuben am Arlberg to the valley station of the Sonnenkopf cable car in Klösterle and back several times a day.
The social side of the village is more customized towards being relaxed, fun and romantic with warm hospitality rather than having a big party scene.
Stuben am Arlberg is experiencing an exciting new revival as it will be connected to Lech-Zürs and St Anton with a state of the art gondola for the ski season 2016-17, but there are rules in place to stop this quaint village from becoming too overcrowded.
