Central Kalahari
Black-maned Kalahari lions roam the semi-arid desert plains of the Central Kalahari, cheetah stalk across its open pans in search of gemsbok, eland and springbok, while more than 200 species of bird fill the skies. One of the most remote regions of Africa, the Central Kalahari is home to the San Bushmen, an ancient people who live off the earth and are the perfect guides to this astounding land.
Head out on foot with the San Bushmen towards the endless horizon of the Kalahari, marvel at the extraordinary expanse of sky, its dazzling night display completely unpolluted by any light, and stalk vast herds of oryx and impala alongside the famous black-maned lions.
