Jingdezhen
With history of pottery-making which stretches over 2,000 years, Jingdezhen is the Porcelain Capital of the world and home to the fine china since the Jinde period of the Song Dynasty.
Jingdezhen was one of China's four great towns in terms of its industrial importance circa the Ming and Qing dynasties. Blessed with natural resources and unique kaolin, Jingdezhen produces high-quality porcelains famous not only in China, but across the world, including the record-breaking auction in London where a blue-and-white porcelain jar which was auctioned for over 27 million pound sterling back in 2015!.
