Why we love Sun Gardens Residences, Dubrovnik
It’s not easy finding the perfect accommodation for families. They often want the space and facilities of an apartment but with the services of a hotel. The Residences at Sun Gardens, on the stunning Dalmatian coast near Dubrovnik, tick both boxes and are incredibly popular with Scott Dunn guests.
The kitchens are fully equipped and perfect for making a cup of coffee, whipping up a bowl of pasta for hungry children, or fixing a salad for lunch; plus the dishwasher means no need to wash up afterward. What’s more, there’s room for everyone to spread out, with a full dining table and comfortable sofa in the lounge, plus a widescreen television to catch up on the latest DVD box sets.
You can choose between two or three bedroom residences, meaning no-one gets stuck with the sofabed. Plus each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom – no queues for the shower in the morning!
All the residences are different but we recommend choosing a Deluxe Seaview Residence. These have been specially selected by Scott Dunn and offer large terraces for dining and sunbathing, all with mesmerizing views of the Elafiti islands and the Adriatic sea beyond.
Daily room cleaning (plus additional turndown service in Deluxe suites); room service; and a fantastic on-site travel agency that can arrange transport into Dubrovnik, reserve restaurants, book excursions and organize boat trips to the islands ensures your vacation is as relaxing as possible.
Sun Gardens have made it easy to self-cater with a well-stocked supermarket on-site selling everything you could need at very reasonable prices. The bakery offers fresh bread and delicious pastries (we recommend the chocolate cake) and there’s a good selection of drinks, snacks and fruit and vegetables. Oh, and it sells fresh milk!
Aqua-philes will never get bored at Sun Gardens as there are 4 pools to choose from, each with a different vibe. The Lemonia pool is where most of the action is, popular with families and complete with slide and shallow kids’ area. The Sunset pool is more sedate and best in the evening. There’s an indoor pool in the Spa; plus the Marina Pool is reserved exclusively for adults.
