Walking Tour of Varanasi
Walk along the Ghats and through the famous narrow alleys of the old city with your guide.
After a sunrise boat trip down the Ganges, your guide will walk you along the famous Ghats of the city where you will see pilgrims doing their morning rituals. The guide will then lead you through the back streets of the city. There will be a chance to see the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, and Gyanvapi Mosque (from the outside). While walking though the back streets of Varanasi you will see many small stalls selling wood for the funeral pyres and materials for ritual offerings. If you wish, your guide can also take you to a Cremation Ghat to understand and see first hand the ritual and significance of the burning of the body in Hinduism (photography not allowed).
