Trek via the winding back roads with panoramic desert & mountain vistas. This route allows you to beat the crowds, arriving at the famous Monastery while most visitors are still at the start of the site. Continue to explore the tombs, Treasury and Siq.

Wadi Rum offers stunning vistas, wide open spaces and fascinating natural rock structures. You will have a one-hour jeep ride here to visit the Khazali Canyon, the rock bridges, Lawrence of Arabia's house and ancient Nabataean inscriptions.

Built in 1161 by the Crusaders, Kerak is a perfect example of medieval castle design. The castle is a dark maze of stone-vaulted halls and passageways. Its most famous occupant was Reynald de Chatillon, who had a reputation for treachery and brutality.

Significantly smaller than the main site of Petra, Little Petra is nevertheless worth a visit, offering a taster of incredible Nabataean architecture.

Be marveled by the impressive mosaics of St. George Church in Madaba, followed by an excursion to Mount Nebo where Moses once viewed the Holy Land from.

Petra by Night occurs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8.30pm. You enter the Siq, and the canyon which leads to the Treasury.

Showbak is an isolated Crusader castle, located around an hour north of Petra. While it is more dilapidated than other castles such as Kerak, the setting is very dramatic; perched on a hillside and offering extensive views of the surrounding area.
