Ski resorts in Switzerland
Our ski specialists have put together these resort guides to give you an insider view of our ski resorts in Switzerland.
Promising glitz, glamour and glorious skiing, St Moritz is a playground to the stars, with an expansive ski area that’s best for intermediate skiers, spectacular views, lively après-ski, and plenty to do off the slopes.
There's nothing quite like the Matterhorn, Zermatt's iconic peak, overlooking a wonderfully buzzing, authentic village, and surrounded by rip-roaring high-altitude skiing with links across the Italian border, too.
Bathed in alpine sunshine, Crans Montana is one of Switzerland’s most beautiful high-altitude resorts with commanding views across the mountain chain from the Matterhorn to Mont Blanc. There’s a treasure trove of activities on offer including fabulous multi-ability skiing and snowboarding, all enjoyed against a backdrop of upscale accommodation, high-end shopping, and a buzzing restaurant scene.
Andermatt is a charming and authentic mountain resort, having always been a popular location for expert skiers looking for steep terrain. The resort has recently been linked up with a new lift system creating perfect terrain for novices. Still relatively unknown the resort’s expansion plans promise that the village will become a real destination.
Verbier is the main resort in Switzerland's largest ski region, known as the "Four Valleys". Modern lift systems and much improved access to the slopes give it some of the best lift-served off-piste skiing in the Alps, while intermediates and beginners are also well-catered for. Varied terrain, a strong snow record, some superb restaurants make this resort an ever popular choice.
